The Christian philosophy of education is unique in contrast to all other educational philosophies. Other philosophies of
education are book centered, child centered, or state centered. Christian philosophy is concerned in the person of
Jesus Christ as God.
The Christian philosophy holds that in a very real sense, God, as Ultimate Truth, becomes real to the Christian when he personally accepts the crucified-risen Lord through faith.
In keeping with these convictions, the school administration and teachers use a developed curriculum that is God centered. All things are viewed from God's point of view or from His perspective. The entire educational program is designed to bring glory to the heart and mind of the student. The student does not learn reverence for God through the educational process alone, but by accepting Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. By entering this relationship with Christ, the student will then open himself to the guidance of the educational process.
The teaching in a Christian school does not become Christian just because we teach Biblical truths, including the born-again experience, and apply them to all lesson materials; but rather it becomes Christian when the biblical truths are exemplified in curriculum contents. True Christian education is discovering truth as God sees it and applying it to our life.
CCA students are encouraged to uphold the spiritual and moral values of the Christian faith, which support and sustain the family, church and nation.
CCA staff and faculty endeavor to help each student realize his/her full potential. High standards of discipline are expected, along with the need to listen and respond to each student in an attitude of love.
Charisma Christian Academy affirms the need to provide a proper balance among the spiritual, academic, physical and extra-curricular activities. The school endeavors to educate the whole person, without neglecting any area emphasizing one at the expense of the other.
Charisma Christian Academy realizes there are differing views relative to biblical doctrine, practicing Christianity and personal convictions. We do, however, hold to our doctrinal statement, and will not allow anything within the school program that is interpreted by the school administration to be of a divisive nature.
Because Charisma Christian Academy enters into a training and nurturing partnership with parents and churches of various backgrounds, we attempt to avoid activities and programs that would cause division among our students, parents and churches. Although we realize it is virtually impossible to please everyone, we will nevertheless, endeavor to keep to a minimum those activities and programs which would cause or bring dissension among our families.
The spiritual emphasis of Charisma Christian Academy is done from an interdenominational, evangelical perspective, with adherence to the doctrinal Statement of Faith.
